dataFresh allows you, the agile developer, to quickly put your database back to a known state.  dataFresh allows you to build repeatable unit tests that interact with the database by ensuring a consistent state across test execution. dataFresh has now been released as open source. This archive includes source code and built binaries of the latest released version of dataFresh.

Hello. This looks to be a handy application. Can you tell me if it's MS SQL server only? Cheers. OJ

Hi OJ -- dataFresh currently supports only Microsoft SQL Server 2000, but I have see it work properly in 2005. We currently do not have any plans to support other databases.

I have been running dataFresh against a SQL 2005 server for the past 4 weeks with no issues. There are some things we can do in SQL 2005 that did not exist in SQL 2000 to help reduce the required privilege level of the user running dataFresh. These are on the to-do list for a later release, as is a strong named version of dataFresh.

Hi Mike, cheers for the response mate. I use various SQL flavours at home at the moment, MS being one of them so I'll definitely find a use for it! Shame it's not supported on Oracle, one of my current clients really could do with a tool like this. Cheers, and all the best. OJ.

Is it possible to modify the triggers so that they don’t return the row count? I am having trouble with NHibernate, which depends on the affected rows to verify that is doing its thing. Thanks and best regards

This change will be included in the next build of dataFresh. If anyone else if having issues integrating dataFresh with NHibernate, please email me and I will send you an interim build with the fix.

My appologies, I missed that. They were encrypted for our initial releases. I will post an update later today.
